Bluebell Woods

Bluebell woods

Denge Woods (18.04.2014) went out to photograph the bluebells in the woodland, managed to find a few orchids that are just coming through on Bonsai Bank. Taken from the footpath at full 200mm focal length with the camera on Auto (sometimes you just have to let technology take over) as there are so many orchids just breaking through the ground, did not want to tread on any. It’s going to look stunning out here when they do! Bluebell Woods at there best!

A walk down The Channel Tunnel

Tunnel Bore 1880

After a long walk, with the threat of heavy rain, you get to spend a good hour or two slipping and sliding, crouching and crawling along one of the oldest tunnels dug by humankind.  That mud is sticky…very sticky and I’ll defy anyone to go down there and not come out covered! It’s normal to spend a good couple of hours cleaning your camera equipment once you have been down here!

Went with a good friend  Jim who, as a postman, you would have thought a long walk would have been no bother…jeez…the moaning !

The Dark Side of Sunday

The Dark Side

It was one of those Sunday mornings today! Rain, mist, fog, generally dull and the creative juices really were not on their full flow! Decided to whizz out to an old abandoned world War 2 bunker for a bit of messing about with Chloe. So armed with tripods, cameras and lots of things to ignite

Denge Woods

Denge Woods - we are here!

Such a lovely morning for a walk in the woods. And as usual we were the only ones about. Never ceases to amaze me how few people visit this site, especially with it being so close to Canterbury. There wasn’t much to photograph, a couple more weeks and all the flowers will be out. We

Aerial Photography

Sometimes it’s hard to see what you really want to see. Especially if that something is several feet above ground! You need aerial photography! Using the latest flying drones we are able to capture HD video footage and stills at high resolution for a number of subject matter. This can be very cost effective, quick

Urban Exploring

Team UE in Prison!

So what’s all this Urban Exploring I keep hearing about? Urban exploration (often shortened as urbex or UE) is the exploration of man-made structures, usually abandoned ruins or not usually seen components of the man-made environment. Photography and historical interest/documentation are heavily featured in the hobby and, although it may sometimes involve trespassing onto private property, this is not

I see ghosts…

I see Ghosts
I see ghosts…, a photo by The Urban Adventure on Flickr.

Whilst the city above partied on…so did we!

It’s amazing what you can find if you look hard enough…the world beneath your feet can be a fascinating place to dwell!

This place was huge! The pictures just can’t tell you how big it was and the awesome detail and structure that had gone into building the place…they built things to last in them days…

Nesting Parrot

Nesting Parrot, a photo by The Urban Adventure on Flickr. Don’t go to Richmond Park on a predicted “Met Office Heat Wave” weekend in March! You won’t be able to park 5 million people who probably live within walking distance will drive their enormous Range Rovers, Audis, Mercs, BMW’s and other prestige car marques to

Wedding Photographer for Hire

Wedding Photography

Every wedding is unique! And every couple will have a different idea as to the photographs that they want taken on their special day! It’s hard work deciding on what you want taken on the day and even harder deciding afterwards how to present your pictures. I work on a simple process of building your

Prison Life

A day in Prison..

Our first stop on our little wander across France and Belgium this weekend…after waking up the small village of sleeping Romanians parked in front of the place we thought we’d better make ourselves scarce! After a lovely walk in the sunshine we found our entry point! Easy this Urbex lark ! After 20 minutes of

Hello world! I’m here

Welcome to the pleasure dome

Photographer of the ordinary and unusual – available for hire and commissions. I am passionate about photography. I have an eye for photographing the unusual, be it people or structures, capturing them at their best, naturally and unobtrusively. I see myself as an observer rather than director. Working with you in your environment – whether
